Silver-Impregnated Carbon Graphite

Carbon Graphite or Electrographite can be modified through Silver impregnation. Molten Silver is impregnated into these base materials to impart additional benefits to the materials making them ideal for certain end-use applications. Silver further enhances the Carbon Graphite or Electrographite with the following properties:

  • High Thermal Conductivity
  • Low Electrical Resistivity (or High Electrical Conductivity)
  • Low Contact Resistance
  • Rapid Static Charge Dissipation
  • Chemical Resistance
  • Oxidation Resistance
  • Tribological Performance

A typical range for the content of Silver in Carbon Graphite or Electrographite materials ranges from 20% – 30% by weight.
