Custom Carbon Graphite Materials

One of the main benefits to being a St. Marys Carbon customer is that we are one of the few carbon companies globally to develop our own proprietary materials. This means that our products will be fully customized to your specific application from start to finish. We start with a customized mix of base materials that are further tailored to you using specialized formulations, molding and baking methods, impregnations and treatments. This allows us to develop materials for a wide variety of applications while still ensuring they meet each your specific needs. Below outlines several ways our materials can be customized to you; however, simply contact us if you have additional needs.

  • Wide Variety of Base & Impregnated Grades – We have unique carbon graphite grades within the below material categories and are continually developing new grades as new applications arise

  • Baking Methods – In addition to altering the materials themselves, our proprietary baking methods are vital to ensuring our materials achieve the specific properties needed for your application
  • Customized Properties – Below are several of the main properties that we take into consideration to ensure our product is viable for your specific end-use.
    • Temperature Level
    • Wear and Friction Level
