Carbon Products are used mostly in industrial applications such as
bearings, seals, glass handling and furnace applications.

Carbon can be machined fairly easy with regular wood working equipment with carbide tooling. Carbon can be machined to close tolerances and is dimensionally stable.

Since carbon is inert, most chemicals do not have an adverse effect.

Carbon can be used to temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit in air or up to 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit in a neutral atmosphere.

Depending on the application, some measurable characteristics are: specific resistance, hardness, transverse strength, compressive strength, current carrying capacity, contract drop, coefficient of friction, porosity and density.
