Carbon Graphite Bearings and Bushings, Seal Rings, Turbine Rings, Packing Seals and Piston Rings
| Bearings and Bushings
The self lubricating properties of carbon graphite and graphite materials, along with stability at elevated temperatures, and resistance to most chemicals, makes these materials well suited to demanding applications. Graphite materials enable the design engineer to extend the temperature and chemical range, and with the proper adjuvant, permit the use under cryogenic conditions. Impregnation with resins and metals can be used to enhance the properties of carbon graphite and graphite.
St. Marys Carbon Company recently purchased the Cradin Dryer Bearing Assembly product line and is now the exclusive distributor for this product. To find out more click here for www.dryerbearing.com.

Seal Rings
Seal rings made from carbon graphite, graphite and resin bonded materials are used in a variety of pump applications. Applications can include home appliance, recreational, food industry, chemical manufacturing, and automotive uses. Seals can either be manufactured molded to size or machined out of stock material. Seals are rendered impervious by the selection of materials or impregnates.

Turbine Rings/ Packing Seals / Piston Rings
Carbon graphite and graphite have the unique properties of temperature and abrasion resistance, along with inherent lubricity and machinability. Applications that take advantage of these properties are turbine rings, rod packing, piston rings and pistons. Piston rings made from electrographite are well suited for high temperature applications.

High Temperature Applications
Carbon graphite and graphite are non-etching materials which makes them well suited for high temperature handling applications. Most metals will not wet to graphite, making it very useful for welding fictures. Carbon graphite and graphite properties can be enhanced with various impregnated for strength and oxidation resistance.
